Edwin gets his message across to the Defence

United Review v West Ham

Before this game,i was thinking that the relegation battle would involve Blackpool ,Wigan,West Brom,Stoke

and maybe Blackburn Rovers, well you can now include West Ham amongst that bunch. They havn’t got a prayer if they continue to play football like they have done for the past couple of seasons! It’s a good job these chirpy chappies from the East End of London have a good sence of humour, because they are going to need buckets of the stuff by the season’s end, good bye and god bless, you will not be missed.

With that said todays game v the Iron’s was going to be a test for United to see how we would do against struggling sides, to see if we had what it takes to kill off teams of this class. We done the job today without breaking into a sweat!

The old men Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes tore them apart,if we play West Ham every week, both of them could play until they reach their  40 s. Once Red Jonathan Spector made a messy chalenge on Giggs, Easy penalty for the ref to give. One worry was who was going to take the spot kick this time after Nani’s miss for the last pen,Up stepped Rooney thank god, infront of the Stretty he made a meaningfull run up and despatched the ball into the net, while Engurland’s number one Keeper, Green was flying over to the other side of his goal.He wasn’t getting much stick from the Stretty Lower, really! Half time aproached with the REDS going in one nil to the good, should’ve had a few more goals in the first half.

Five minutes into the second half, and Nani had a great run across the box and unleashed a cracker past the happless Green for goal number two.the rout was comleated after the ever improving Dimitar Berbatov smashed home a volley from above waist hight side on to goal. Final Score United 3 West Ham 0

Fulham 2 v Manchester United 2

Paul Scholes rifles the ball into the Fulham net

Fulham v United Programme

United have dropped so many points in the league away to Fulham in the past,it was time to make ammends in this match!

Paul Scholes looked like he had thrown the banana skin into touch, when he nailed his low bullet shot from way out,and past Stockdale in the Fulham goal, after receiving the ball from a great pass from Dimitar Berbatov.
Scholes pretty much bossed the midfield for most of the first half, with some good passing moves.Edwin Van Der Sar made some important saves as Fulham pressed forward trying to get on level turms.United went in at the break one nil up.
Fulham came out in the second half with plenty of effort, and slowly got back into this game.It was indeed them who scored the next goal of the game, with good play by Bobby Zamora who laid the ball off to the aproaching Simon Davies to drive the ball past Van Der Sar and into the net to make it 1-1
Brede Hangeland was unlucky to score into his own net after Nani sent in a cross which hit the deffender and went over the goal line for United’s 2nd goal of the game.Damian Duff was unfotunate to misscontrole the ball a few minutes later and handled the ball in the box,to give away a penalty kick.
It should have been the end of Fulham’s chances of getting anything from this game now, as Nani stepped up to take the spot kick to give the Reds all three points, but with just a couple of yards run up from the ball and a stop before hitting the ball, like you see so many other penalty kicks fail in this way,his attempt was awful and cost United two points in the end as Hangerland made up for his own goal mistake, with a good header into the United net just before the final whistle,I can only say that Fulham deserved their point for fighting back into the game,as United were too slack in the deffence to hold them out! Final Score   Fulham 2 United 2

Manchester United 3 v Newcastle United 0

United Review Newcastle United

United got off to a perfect start in the new season with a good performance and three points against our visitors from the North East. The Geordies were pretty even with us from the kick off,and had a couple of good chances to draw blood against us,but after time their lack off fitness showed in the second half, as we pushed forward looking for goals.Berbatov maybe a little under pressure now we have the Mexican Nino up front too,we now have four good strikers to choose from,a la 1999.Now Wayne can have a rest during the season if Sir Alex rotates the four of them!

It was great to see Ryan Giggs score a great goal in what is now every season playing in the Premier league.Young kids up and down the country take note, this guy is a real pro footballer and not an arse like so many others are! Final Score  United 3 Newcastle 0

Monday Night at Old Trafford v Newcastle United worth the long wait

Season 2010/2011 team Squad photo

Well the new season is upon us this Monday night v Newcastle United,i wish it was a weekend game rather than a poxy Night opener, with work the next day!

Thank you so much Sky tv,but i suppose it’s good for those who can’t make it,a few tins in the house, or better if you watch it in the Battle Cruiser with a couple of beers

Either way,i hope we can go one place higher in the league,at the seasons end, than last season, and let it start with this game v the lovable Geordies! I would like to wish you all the best for the 2010/11 season, and good health to you all, along the way and that’s for all the players too.
